John Milledge Academy has more than exceeded whatever expectations we, as new parents, had for our daughter’s PreK experience. The teachers have been wonderful and responsive – they work hard to foster learning and promote her development with guided learning, a gentle and caring touch, and plenty of patience. We have felt a uniquely high comfort level with the faculty and staff at JMA and we are so grateful for their ability to work with our daughter in all phases of her development. It offers such peace of mind knowing that she is in capable and caring hands, and gaining so much from her day there – she’s acquired skills and learned things that we honestly would not have known she would have had the capacity to achieve at her age and development. We are thankful every day for being lucky enough to find such a place for our little girl.
Eric and Heidi FowlerWe thought about our child’s education, and which school he would attend, for quite a while. We had our son at a day school, and were happy with it. However, decided that we wanted him to attend John Milledge for Kindergarten. We were not alumni , nor did he have a sibling to guarantee a spot for him; so we chose to send him to John Milledge for Pre-k to guarantee that he would have a spot in kindergarten. In the first week of pre-k, we KNEW that we made the right decision. We have been nothing but pleased this first year. Mrs. Sheppard and Mrs. Johnson are amazing teachers; they keep the kids active, inspired and motivated. There is always a new learning experience ready for them each week– multiple experiences really. It is obvious that both teachers love these children and want to invest their time and hearts in them. Not because they have to, but because they find such joy in doing it. There is a great deal of comfort in knowing that our child is in a school that takes care of him each day; with teachers who love him and an administration that strives daily to grow these children and to keep them safe while doing so. My son loves his school and is so proud to be a Trojan and so are we.
